    dunderberg-august 31

kfactor hasn't missed a month since february when he came back from a knee injury. he broke his collarbone in early july at mt. hood. august 31 was his last chance to get his august turns and keep the streak alive. hutchski and i had already gotten ours, but skiing is still fun and i had never been to this place.

bring your pfd. and fer god's sake take yer shirt outta yer pants after you take a leak

i was hoping we could jump into the lake off jacks glacier. but to jump where you could hit deepish water you would have to go huge near the tallest part. maybe earlier in the summer when the snow overhangs the lake more.

first though, we were off to hidden glacier.

hutchski heads down through the volkswagen size suncups

    kfactor does the same

then it was time i put the vest to use

and then it was back to jacks glacier. me

    tundra on the tundra.

thanks vets, for the excellent beta. it enabled us to get down there and tag it and still make it back to work at 4.

How far is this from Tahoe South? I think Vets gave me the beta years ago, but I've lost it, heh.

little under 2 hours from the keys to virginia lakes road, then 40 minutes from there. clearance is required
