Just received the gf's new 172 Loken 116s - anyone have any thoughts on mount point? The recommended appears to be 73 from the tail, which would put it at -13 from true centre, if my math is correct. Seems a little far back, especially since she is coming from 179 EHPs and Hojis (recommended -6 from true centre) which she had mounted at +1 (-5 from true centre). I was thinking +1 but was looking for a little input from people who have already skied the Loken.

I love mine at the line on 180 Loken106; the tip seems long but will engage really smoothly at speed. Never felt in the backseat.

I have the 116s in a 188 and mounted as they recommended and have been extremely happy with them there. Having said that I always prefer a more traditional mount on big mountain & powder skis - when I had a pair of Bent Chetlers I found the mount a little further forward than I liked even when I mounted a bit back the line. The Loken shape works perfectly with the more traditional mount given how early the tip rocker starts along with the flat tail. However, if she likes a ski with a more centered mount like the Hojis then +1 from rec on these would still work very well I think. Either way I think she'll love them.

They ski just as nice as they look. Had them out touring in 35-45cm of fresh in steep trees. Such a nice ski. Super light with barely any swing weight. The combo of the carbon ski and ion bindings was amazing, both up and down.
There was a hard crust underneath which I would hit from time to time and the skis handled it well. Heading back out tomorrow for more. I am interested to try them on hard pack or in bounds. I don't think they will chatter too badly or have any issues though, I have a pair of full carbon lokens I was out on last year inbounds and out and they skied very well.
My buddy is getting some 116cm 188cm Loken's made with even a thinner core profile, they will probably be even lighter. Glenn took the original Pell graphic (attached) and flipped the colors to white so they would pop on the carbon.

The new Scheske graphic is killer, in my opinion."...if you're not doing a double flip cork something, skiing spines in Haines, or doing double flip cork somethings off spines in Haines, you're pretty much just gaping."

Liking the addition of other widths to the Anton family. Also, the exchange rate is making these almost $500 brand new sticks.

The Oda is still one of the nicest looking skis. Looks like it sits right between Powderboards and Protests, which means smack in a very glorious sweet spot.

Whats the word on the Anton 112's? I am currently deciding between ordering a pair of those or the Lokens ( also torn between the 106 and 116).
The intention is the use them primarily for areas like Revelstoke, the backside and attridge areas at Silverstar, maybe taking them touring someday. Currently leaning towards ordering a pair of 188 Loken 106's because of their versatility but I like the sounds of the Antons agility for the trees... Any recommendations fellas?

Hmm, tough one. I have the Lokens 116s as a resort pow & slack ski and the 106s as a touring ski and love both. I also know a few patrollers who love the 122 Anton. I'd say the deciding factor should be the tail. If you prefer flat & directional then go Lokens, if you prefer skis with a little tail rocker then the Anton 112s. If you go Loken then it really depends what else you'll have in your quiver - the 106s are amazing in all conditions so if you'll have a fatter pair of pow skis to use on deeper days then maybe those.
