Frick...was just slapped with October ski reality as I started looking through photos and for the most part October seems to be a peak bagging month for me with a lack of skiable snow for the most part without having a major haul to get anywhere.

Heads-up for those living in and around Golden! There's been a recent rash of thefts going on at people's houses/garages/yards/cars. Mostly visible items left in unlocked cars and valuable stuff in the yard as well as gasoline (cutting garden hoses to siphon or stealing jerry cans). I conveniently put a jerry can of water/gas and one of diesel out in front, help yourself!
It is believed that these are some transients. I figured I would get a house key made now so I can lock the house.

Fernie... Best to stop dreaming. There won't be snow at that latitude combined with that elevation till mid November at the earliest....

went up to Rae last weekend to complete my 36 months in a row of skiing. The top bowl was pretty nice corn, but the bottom 2/3 was half snow half rocks. We did have some fresh graupel to slide over! Let it continue to fall...

^ that is odd, looks like buddy lost his ski at the top rather then the avy fan....... maybe buddy fell backwards off the mountain trying to clip in (like the infamous vid); on a different note - anybody around here have a pair of skis 185-190 long, 90ish wide and some decent bindings for relatively cheap?
