Dynafit Zzeus/Titan Walk Mode Screws
Posted this elswhere and searched but have had no luck yet...
I’m having issues with the walk mode screws coming loose on my Zzeus’. On the right boot, one of the screw had completely come out. I found it hanging out amongst the rest of the walk mode bits and pieces. Left boot, the screws are looking pretty loose.

Despite what others have reported, as far as I know, no issues with the cant adjustment at this stage.

Obviously the answer is to tighten the screws but I cant get to them. Would be awesome to fix these, they have been great boots otherwise. John.Milne@dynafit.com are you still around? Originally bought the boots from Telemark Pyrenees, there is no Dynafit distributor here in Australia.

I have a mini ratchet bike wrench which takes different heads including philips which would be perfect for this. A more time consuming answer might be a loose philips head-very common here in US for electric drills and a pair of pliers to grip and twist the philips head.
I would add blue loctite to the threads on the bolts to keep them from spinning back out.
Nice photos and thanks for posting as this is a good time of year to check for such problems.

My old ones didn't stay in either. Dynafit was helpful in getting it straightened out.

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

I recently had this with my titans. If you get a stubby screw driver and pull the liner you can tighten then. Watch out as that cuff material is sharp and ended up eating up my hands into a bloody mess. If you email salewa na they will send you detailed instructions.
Removing to cuff is an option and dyna will send you new rivets but then you need to find a shop with a rivet press so that can be a pain. Stubby screw driver is now in my Backcountry kit at all times. I might pull them out all the way and locktite them but that might be a major pain.
Good luck.

My Zzuess have a similar problem. The left boot only stays in walk mode when i keep me finger on the switch, hard to do when skining. I have read past posts on this problem but your pics are in great detail so armed with this new info I will try to tighten these screws thanks

Well it was a punish but I managed to get the loose screws back in. I couldn't get the missing screw back in however.
I used this little stubby screw driver

With the boot in walk mode and by slightly rotating the cuff I could just get to the screws

They are back in but don't appear to be straight. I'm not too confident this will be the end of it, especially for the right boot with the screw missing. I've been onto Telemark Pyrenees so hopefully they can help me out.

I had that issue on my Titans. A bit of gorilla glue on the screws seems to have helped keep them in (gorilla glue is PU, the same material as the shell, and expands as it dries). After 5 days or so, the screws have not come loose.

As a more permanent fix, has anyone thought of replacing the screws with through-bolts, drilling right through the cuff? T-nuts could be installed via the exterior of the boot's spine.
