Chasing Greatness (riding with Anne Caroline Chausson and Brian Lopes)

Back in April I had opportunity to ride behind two of the most accomplished mountain bikers of all time: Brian Lopes and Anne Caroline Chausson. A humbling experience to say the least, but even more inspiring. Having a full week to chase after these two was a serious clinic for me, and occasionally left me in the dirt...but it always put a smile on my face. I could wax poetic about their two wheeled grace but just know that for a lifelong mountain biker, this was a dream come true. I may have tried to maintain an air of coolness, but my inner dialog was sounded more like a screaming Bieber fan. I'm fairly certain the two of them were riding at 50%. I was pinned. This was also my first week riding my bike this spring...helluva way to get back into the bike season!

And yea, it's allllll POV. Suck it!

Thank you. I'm 6'0 and ride a large. Short stem, wide bars, KS dropper without much setback. If you've ever got any HD questions, hit me up.

Yea, Dan! as it's been a long time since I've gone to watch a National or World Cup level race it's kind of alarming seeing what's possible
After watching the pinkbike vid (cray) the comments below are fairly typical. I'd heard all types of rumors as to Brian being a dick, wasn't the case when we were around him. Confident? Definitely. He's been winning everything he enters for over 30 years. And ACC...she's the most humble person I've ever met.

Usually I get bored during MTB videos but that was sweet. I would not want to be one of those photographers getting breezed by, although I suppose the POV lens makes it look closer than it really is.

Was there anything you picked up from them that you didn't previously do? Did it change your riding in any way?

    amazing vid.

how did you get to partake in this experience? Serving the part of random rad guy with a camera that crushes? Spancered by Ibis now?

and that other video is just mind blowing.

    nice Dub!!!
The blues has always been about taking your problems and turning them into something you can dance to, drink to and fuck to.
We're certainly not a blues band in any kind of purest sense, but to me Rock and Roll has always had it's roots in that tradition.
