New Company - Thrive Snowboards
I'm sure some have already heard of them but I'm guessing most haven't. They just launched their site the other day and will be starting off with three boards, some outerwear and some other gear. Run by some good people so at least go check them out.

Might as well just call yourselves Never Summer, as I see little difference between your boards and theirs outside of topsheets. Just sayin.

Well they are not my boards they are Thrive boards which I have nothing to do with. Crazy how they can be so easily compared to NS just from some specs and pics. Maybe hold out for a demo day before saying what they are like.

So... according to them, I won't be able to ride the 158 (longest board?) if I lose 5lbs? My jib boards are 156 and that's for East Coast baby mountains.
I'm a dickhead, get over it.

Nice butthurt defense. You missed the point. They aren't bringing much to the table that is going to make anyone want to ride them.
If they do have something that makes them special, they should probably highlight that rather than the c2 style camber of Never Summer and Libtech and v-stringers. Both are already mass marketed and if you ask me, a better value considering they are both produced in the USA and cost less or just equal to Thrive boards.Live Free or Die

was I asleep for long?? When did they invent unobtainium cores
a "big Mt/freeride" 158 built for "expirienced" riders from 5'6"/150# to 6'4"/240#
yea right
who in their right mind could possibly think anyone over 6'/200# will consider using a 158 as a big mountain board? How come the clothing doesn't fit a 90# 10" size range?
this kind of marketing bullshit pisses me off, grossly misinforming would be enthusiasts.Last edited by b0ardski; 08-09-2012 at 03:59 PM.

Why the hell would I take the thread down? All I was doing was posting about a new board company. I can't help if a lot of the people here are big time fruits that think they are king shit. Half the people here most likely talk a huge game on the internet but hang out in the lodge all damn day.

Wrong, dude, most people here hang out on their computers all day and never leave the house.
