I used a slime scab on my camelbak bladder last summer. It held up for over a year!

Well, it's a relic from an ancient time, it is a 'patch' from a 'patch kit'. I found it in my yard. It has to be, I dunno, hundreds of years old. Apparently the Rema tribe really used to live off of these things, and live well! Amazingly, the 'glue' was still pristine.

Because I had:
Exactly one patch (had already used my spare tube)
New slime/Stan's (too greasy to patch without cleaning)
Not near any water
Dented rim that might not reseat
Suspect pump (found on trail)
Basically, one shot deal, (or I would have had to call SAR for a rescue chopper, I mean it was 85 degrees, and all of the ice in my camelback had melted!)
I was pretty damn surprised it worked, but hiking out would have been fine.

I had already drank my gallon of wild Puma urine, so it was OK.
