FS: New Hilleberg Kaitum 3 Person 4 Season Tent - SOLD

I have only setup the tent inside to check it out so it is still brand new. Comes with everything you would get with it from a retailer just at a lower price. Retails for $840 and I am selling for $600 shipped.

Hilleberg the Tentmaker Kaitum 3 tent. Check it out here if you don't know what it is. I am selling the green one. http://www.hilleberg.com/home/produc...um/kaitum3.php

This place probably the BEST place to sell or buy ski gear on the internet. Good ski gear that is. But there are rules. Rules that if you don't follow, the collective will eat you alive.

    Here's a few.

-The Commish said it best, "If you're trying to sell gear here, don't expect to get market prices...unless you're willing to trade gonzo for a router. The standard maggot/minion pricing paradigm is:

50% of current online price (not MSRP)
    -10% per year old
-10% per times drilled, per core shot, per delam...etc
    -10% per marker binding attatched
    +10-30% for Rare/High-demand item
    $840 x 50% = $420

    START at $420.

    Then reduce accordingly.

    You're welcome.

Hey retard why would I start it off at 50% off? It is a brand new tent that has never been used. I don't give a shit what you think a standard is. Show me anywhere else where you will find this tent for even 30% off. I'm not going to sell it at some stupid low price because people like you are fucking cheap.

Between this and your Thrive snowboard thread I have to say...you are quite the retart jong.

Again for clarity...read the post I linked regarding pricing.

What I'm telling you is that you will get ZERO action on this on tgr, unless you follow the above advice.

Additionally, that response demonstrates what a complete cocksucker you are to deal with, and that you don't give a fuck about the tgr collective...in order to sell now you should reduce by an additional 10%.

New tgr pricing for your tent should be:

    $420 - 10% = $380 ish.

I know you don't understand this, but I'm trying to help you...and I'm being nice about it.

    Good luck.

You're probably not going to sell it here at all jong. Iscariot was just trying to help you overcome being a fucking newb by showing you an excerpt of the rules that you clearly failed to read despite the obvious sticky at the top of the page.

That is funny that this is some standard because two weeks ago I sold an ABS bag for less than 50% off. Retail was about $1250 and it sold for $750. So I guess your "standard" is a bunch of bullshit.

Also good job speaking for the thousands of other members of the site. I'm starting to see that not everyone here is an idiot. Maybe about 10% are but you seem to talk the loudest so it makes it seem like more.

I've used this tent and its bomb. Problem is, I would never deal with an ass hole like you. I don't give a shit if you sold an ABS bag for less than 50% off. Read the fucking sticky and you will realize the rules. You clearly still have not done that. Now you look like a dbag for saying this:

and going after a member who has interacted with a TON of people on here. The guy has been posting here since 2006 and has over 4k in posts. You think he doesn't have any pull? This isn't just a place to buy and sell gear like you seem to think it is. We are all skiers. Skiers who know eachother and in general want to protect the sense of collective that we have here. I have met friends through TGR, and received a ton of deals and opportunities. This isnt the place to come and scalp gear you don't want. If you want to be part of this community, or even if you just want to sell your shit here, you need to play by the rules.

SO maybe you should do yourself a huge favor and actually read them before posting up your shit.

Dude I don't give a shit how many posts someone has on a forum. It doesn't make them any better than anyone else. I could care less who you have met here or what deals you have got. The rule you and the other guy mention is not some set in stone rule and it doesn't even apply in this case. You jackasses need to read the shit yourself before you start knocking someone else and telling them to read it.

This is from the same thing you told me to read: "If you are un-realistic about what you are asking, the price police will swoop in and bust you. FWIW, they are usually big, if not bigger, JONG's than you. cracking on a newb cause he wants $50 more than you think his stuff is worth don't make you cool, ace. don't worry about the price police, but following the above guide (guide not RULE), will yield a better chance at a sale."

See that, guide not rule. And asking $340 less than the retail price for something that is brand new is not asking to much.

OP may have may come off as an asshole in his response but was his price really out of line?

He's offering up a NEW kick ass tent at over 40% off. If he is too high it wont sell and he will have drop his price. Which he found out he had to do.

Its his shit he can ask what he wants for it. If you don't want to buy it then don't. Why the fuck does it matter to you if he sales it or not?

500 for this is a steal. This qualifies as rare or prized. Best of the best as far as I'm concerned. If I didn't already have an inferior four season that I could never recover the costs on I'd have done this for 550.
