    WTB: cheaper beacon...

So I'm looking for a beacon for my brother that isn't overly expensive. Something like an Ortovox Patroller would be awsome... Let us know what you've got thanks

You know that ortovox patroller is synonimous with getting yourself or your buddies killed right? One of the worst beacons out there. Don't skimp on a beacon. Put down another 150$ if you must. This is about lives.

Used beacons are like used helmets.

Kind of like used condoms but not really.

How so? Is it now as simple as testing send and search functions with another beacon you know works?

It doesn't matter jack shit that's it's used. It's just that a Patroller is one of the worst beacons out there, despite of if you know how to use it.
