    Buying Season Passes in Hokkaido

I'm new in Sapporo and I'm looking into getting a season pass for either Teine or Kokusai. I know Kokusai is cheaper, but you get Rusutsu with Teine. I like both mountains, maybe Kokusai a bit more.

Thing is I have no car so I'll be on a bus or train. So with that in mind, does one pass make sense over the other?

    Thanks.

I thought there was a multi mountain pass for the resorts around Sapporo. I am sure they used to advertise them in combinis.
Days on snow this season: 54 Last Season: 83

Never heard of that. I know the Teine pass covers about 3 mountains. I'll have to look into what you mentioned. Thanks.

The beauty is that if you get a K-pass you are also subject to a discount ( I believe 50% off) lift ticket at Kiroro, which is one of the best places in Hokkaido.

Enjoy and if you would like to know anything about Japan, Mikepow or I could help you with that

Kiroro is the best mountain in the Shiribeshi area of Hokkaido IMHO.

And the early season Kiroro seasons pass is under 40,000 yen

    Thank you both.
    This is great info.
I got here the last week of February, I was lucky I was able to get 5 days in before it all wrapped up. I was able to check out Teine and Kokusai 2x each and Niseko once. Maybe because I went to Niseko in late March, on a shitty day I didn't see what all the hype was about. I couldn't believe the amount of snow at Teine and Kokusai so late into the season.

As far as buses go, do any of the mountains have free buses? Or bus passes for season pass holders?

    Thanks again.

    Train from Sapporo to Teine.

Bus from Sapporo to both Kokusai and Kiroro.

None of them free I'm afraid.

And there are good bus + lift ticket deals from Sapporo to Niseko and Sapporo to Rusutsu.

Regardless you will find out what all the fuss is about this season. If you have a chance, head further north to Asahikawa area...the most driest and deepest snow I have ever experienced. And there are some serious mountains out that way, too.

Sorry I can help ya out with the pass, but damn it must suck to have to choose between all those shitty resorts
    パウダーバカ!!
