Treasure Island....if you haven't read it since you were ten, pick it up again !!

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

I just downloaded this book to my smartphone yesterday, and I can't stop reading the thing. Robert Louis Stevenson spins a hell of a good tale !!

If you haven't picked up the book since you were ten, I HIGHLY recommend you do so. I forgot how captivating the story is. The ages have not dulled the adventure of this book in the least. What can be more adventurous than sailing on a sailing ship to a pirate-infested tropical island in search of treasure?

Ironically, I just reread it a few months ago and I thought it blew.

    Robert Louis Stevenson blowing?????

Granted, I'm only a little over 1/3rd through it...they've just finished outfitting the Hispanola for the voyage...so I haven't gotten to the sea-faring parts yet, but in your opinion why does it blow? Seems decent character development and the scenes seem to flow with enough energy. Perhaps a little more setting development ould be good, but RLS' habit is to leave that to the individual's imagination.

I also read it recently and thought it was outstanding. I also read Kidnapped at the same time and thought it was good, but not nearly as captivating as Treasure Island.
