Good farking luck cracking newer photoshop versions. Obviously it can be done but fuck...that, not nearly as easy as some other programs.
You want it because it's the standard? Fuck photoshop, if you are not doing any graphic design manipulation crap then buy Lightroom 4 and use Gimp2 for any of your manipulation needs. If all you are doing is editing photos and standard workflow stuff then go with LR. The only thing I don't like is the cloning stamp, but it's easy to do in Gimp so no biggie.GIMP does look cool. Photoshop just seems to be the standard though.

Um, yeah, just use Lightroom. Please. I need more job security.
It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia.

I know right? A quick search on Wikipedia showed me the latest version which was then popped into my favorite Swedish connection, took under a minute to get the latest and greatest.
Few questions sort of come up here...
1.) The standard for what? Ahhh a photo editing program, the standard!
2.) Craigslist? Really? $100? Software? Some guy? A lot of those should never been in the same sentence which is why I fragmented all of them into there own parts.
3.) You basically helped commit an even worse crime. You've knowingly bought into the black market. At least with torrents as long as you aren't benefiting from a monetary stand point you're ok from an ethical point of view
The ignorance level in this thread, I would think people were trollingIf you can't dig it, you ain't got no shovel

I've got a brand new (in shrink wrap) copy of CS5 I'll sell for $200.
The Mrs got it at an Adobe conference, so it's definitely legit.Going where the wind don't blow so strange

I'll mail a perfectly legit copy of CS6 for $150. Don't worry about the manuals and the Memorex DVD the installer comes on or the txt file with serial number. Just install and make sure you aren't connect to the Internet while the installer runs...

Rshea already posted the best suggestion. Go to his link and download the trial. It's a fully functioning new version of PS. If you like it, and can't swing the enormous cost, they now offer a subscription based account, which allows you to pay per month at a surprisingly reasonable cost. If it's for work, that's obviously tax-deductible, and if you're a contractor, you can most likely expense that cost. I use PS sometimes for work, and have decided to go that route. Especially good for me since I don't use it enough to justify the total cost of buying it outright. Nice to have a legit, virus/spyware-free, easy to install version!
