Ski Instructor
What's the expected pay for a part time ski instructor at a place like Vail or Breck? Looking to maybe do it to supplement my current work.
Thanks

Jack shit +tips (from the tourists that actually tip). It may be an "ok" way to get a ski pass, but if you are looking for additional $$, pick up shifts bartending or waiting tables downtown.

Considering the Epic pass is $649. Don't even fucking think about it!

They'll take whatever you're willing to pay them.
Seriously though, you're probably looking at $10/hr for hours you actually work. It's a fun job if you want some great free training and like teaching. If you're just doing it for the money, then you might be better off elsewhere. As a rookie, you won't get the prime lessons.**

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

I know a level III instructor pulling around $20/hr at Vail. PT working about 14-20 days a year. Has pulled in a $1,000 tip numerous times from NYC high rollers.
If you aren't certified you probably do get like $10/hr and will be teaching kids or shitty skiers in group lessons. Although, it doesn't seem like many people want group lessons anymore.
