Thread: Life Changed: I got cheaters

Recently, while on a fantastic small stream with Lexi Bell, I made the final decision to get a set of cheater glasses. I've been bitching for a few years now and finally hit bottom when it took me about two hundred attempts to find the damn hole on a 14 parachute Adams. After finding the hole, I noticed, ( as I have many times in the past few seasons), that it took me way too long to tie a knot that I used to do in 8-10 seconds.

Trying to keep my manliness and refuse my lovely Wife's suggestions of getting my eyes tested and getting some real glasses, I went to the local drug store. Picked up some reader/cheater glasses. Life is good now! Holes started appearing. Knots are now a breeze! I got a little dizzy after the first few knots when I looked up and had to row outta something but cheaters rock.

Next is cheaters with bifocals!

Look out AARP card, prunes, centrum silver and felt bottomed walkers, here we come!

We will make a wing sauce with liquid geritol for you, Schwert. Btw, try the new V.2 BlisterLip sauce, and if THAT isn't hot enough, ask for some extra death paste.

Yeah, I'm there. I've been seriously considering a pair of sunglasses with built-in cheater lenses that look like bifocals. Smith makes some, it'd be great to hear of anyone's experience with them - stumble much?

Haha. I did the same thing about 4 years ago. Couldn't find the hole (insert joke here). Stopped at the drug store on the way to the river- life changed. We get to the river and my buddy starts giving me shit as we're setting up. I handed him the glasses and he said, "Holy shit. I have to get some of these!"

It's not complete with out a shinny old lady chain though. You might as well go full on...
