TR: Roundtop, Eastbowl, 7/17/12
Powdrhound wanted July turns that were more significant. So we hiked a little longer to Roundtop's Eastbowl which probably offered what is currently perhaps the longest continuous run in the Roundtop/Sisters area.
First, 2 powdrhounds at once...

...and then closer and one at a time...

...further down the bowl brought on the big boulder giant slalom...

...before it opened up again...

...looking back across the creek up at Roundtop's Eastbowl...

(btw, the pond that is usually there is still covered with snow and ice. We did see and hear a little chunk of ice break off the edge during lunch.)
We found another snowpatch to ski on our hike down that had a couple of little steep and narrow chutes.
Vets sets up a hop around a rock...

Powdrhound sprays his way through...

Vets takes another run...

There is still some good summer snow if you know where to go. Definitely a fun day!

Looks like a fun day. Does not look like it will be as fun in august.
