I imagine Bill Wyman with an oxygen tank at his side somewhere.

Edit: But, getting a groupie blow job.

It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia.

Apparently, time is indeed on their side.

Advres you must not have ever seen them or just don't like them no?

I've seen every tour since the late 80s and they've consistently put on an awesome show. I don't give a shit that they look like 80 year olds. (even though they're all now in their 70s)

    Really; old + good music=win, young + bad music=fail

OK just to complete the diagram: old or young + good music = win, old or young + bad music = fail

What makes you say that? Just because I think they made their best music in the 60s and 70s? i don't give a fuck about anybody rehashing the same shit for 30 years. They made great music and then made shit music. Then they just toured and played their best. Why did they stop making great music? I feel the same about all bands that just rest on their laurels and make money hand over fist from suckers like you that will go see them play the same songs over and over and over again for 30 years.

you gotta wonder how many people would have laughed at you to your face if, in 1972, you told them that the rolling stones would still be alive and playing music in 2012.

Grown up with them in a way...

1st show, 1981, only 250 peops, Sir Morgan's Cove, Worcestor:

Last show, 2nd row, Fenway Park, 2005:

Both were two of the best live concerts I've ever seen.

    nice BD!
    they were my first show.
    Hartford Civic Center '81
i was sixteen, and had both killer Colombian Gold and hash oil at that time.
my two bud's, i went with, rolled bones with the oil drizzled lightly. holy shit we had fun.
there was a Ticketron located in the local pharmacy around the corner from my high school. when word broke that Stone's tickets were on sale, the school basically cleared out. i called my Mom from the high school lobby and asked if it was cool. she met me at the pharmacy with money for three tickets! nobody got in trouble at school. easy 80's.
caught them again in Foxboro on Steel Wheels tour, it rocked!
