It would help knowing here that PPG isn't actually an employee of Moment, he just likes pretending he is.

Doesn't 100% relate to the issue of email vs phone but I placed an order through their website for their 186 Bibbys during their crazy sale a few months back. Their webpage showed it in stock but they didn't actually have anymore in physically stock. I received an immediate phone call from Moment with an apology and explanation of the situation. With basically no questions asked, they offered to send me the 12/13 190 Bibbys for the same discounted price. Customer service doesn't get much better than that. Specially from an Inde with limited resources.

Thats cool. I stopped by the shop on the way to Kirkwood that day, it was a madhouse in there. All hands on deck packing and shipping, and still cranking out rack after rack of next year's Bibbys!

Wedding, cranking out skis, or no, I'd interpret this as fairly pompous compared to how other reps/connecteds/worker b's respond. For the record, I've sent three emails to Moment over the past coupla years, never had a single response. When I email DPS or PM or Prior or ON3P I get a response within a week, usually within two days. Just is what it is; own a pair of Night Trains and not interested in flexing consumer muscle, but I factor it all in when I buy a new ski. Too many great brands out there not to.

It is a pet peeve of mine when companies have an internet presence with an email address and don't respond to emails. if you can't answer emails, don't have an email address on the website. I shouldn't have to send an email, wait, get no response, and then call.

I used to have a peeve zoo, but I've decided to let all the animals go.

I emailed the same "contact us" email several days ago, got a response today apologizing that they'd even out of town then got 3 questions answered within an hour and a pair of Bibby's in the mail this afternoon, the same day I ordered. Pretty damn good by my standards!

I called them on the sell off day to ask a few questions. Even with the place in a frenzy, someone took the time to answer my questions and even forwarded me to someone else to discuss further. I was never on hold the entire time.

My skis arrived one or two days after ordering. Their customer service is about as good as it gets IMO.

The folks at Moment are great to deal with, fun to talk with and seem to enjoy nothing more than helping people try out their skis -- well, maybe helping them buy just the right model.
