    Ted

I didn't find any other threads on this in here....

They kind of blew their wad with the trailers...so there were moments of silence in the theater, but for the most part it was pretty f'n funny!

The bear sounds exactly like Peter Griffin, even does the "retarded" Peter near the end....but much like Cartman or Peter Griffin, the bear is just a vehicle for shockingly inappropriate material that wouldn't be as funny..or probably shocking...coming from an actor. That being said, there were definitely moments where I was crying laughing during this flick. Not sure how it will play outside the northeast with the masshole accents and boston locations....but I enjoyed it!

    SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

the hooker shit on the floor was amazing.....I mean how completely inappropriate and juvenile and funny as fuck!!!!

also the "okay, so that's where we'll draw the line." that part you THINK you know from the trailers....but no, not so much.

I liked how Ted kept getting promoted for being an asshole.

    Giovanni Ribisi; fucking creepy!!
    thats new hampshire as fuck

I dunno, perhaps it's cuz Seth MacFarlane of Family Guy fame not only directed Ted, but also supplied the voice of the lead character...

It was funny; wife and I thought 'that's my boy' was funnier.

Which wasn't what we were expecting!

Yeah, they overdid the previews with this one.

Funny scenes were really funny. Could have been 1/2 an hour long. Uncomfortable silences in unfunny, plot building scenes.
Overall, a C- for me. Just watch the R rated trailer about 3 times, and save yourself the money.

Funny but about 20 minutes too long. Seems like the kidnapping plot was thrown together in a few minutes; could have been executed much better minus the Fenway scene and the 10 minutes it took to bring Ted back to life.

Yeah, but he has dozens of voices and Ted sounds exactly like Peter Griffin.

Giovani Ribisi's dance scene was hysterically creepy.

Right, I know that. I knew that going into the movie. I thought it might be slightly different, but no.

on another note.......Is there a function in TGR where if you have someone blocked, you don't have to see their comments if someone quotes them? As in fully blocking their comments all together?

The kidnapping plot was worth it for the Tubby McFat Fuck comment and Ted making fun of hearing the fat kid running, otherwise I sort of agree. It was entertaining and better than I expected, impressive for MacFarlanes directorial debut although I'd probably just wait for it to come out.

the scene where Ted imitates a girl from boston having an orgasm was one of the funniest things i have seen in a long long time, ending with "now I'm gonna stuff my face with pepperidge fahm"

Yeah, that was good, as were some other key scenes, but the stuff in-between was a bore.
