Thread: TR: Sisters/Roundtop, 7/2/12

Gone2Alpine, jla415 and I went to find some smooth July turns on Monday.
We hiked past Roundtop Lake and lapped "The October Patch" first.

Gone2Alpine lines up a creek skim to build up speed for a huck into Caples Lake:


He passes on the huck and hikes back up to spray smooth soft corn:


So does jla415:

After about a half a dozen laps we headed over to find the "U-God Patch."

jla415 starts...

... and he lines up for a creek skim into trail skim into a Winnemucca Lake skim...

Roundtop/Sisters still offers multiple ski choices if you are willing to hike a little longer to get to the goods.

Nice TR Vets. If only you had reliable ski buddies to take great pictures of you and actually send them to you...sorry mang.

Patch skiing made it to July! Snow looks really good.Just missing the dog stoke now.

I forgot to mention that I am now at 105 consecutive months skiing and gone2alpine is at 22 consecutive months.
Also, I think that jla415 has about 377 ski days in so far for this season (this may only be a slight exaggeration.)

Way to keep it alive. Hope you find enough snow to get you through.
