Man those new road bikes look pretty tough.
It almost looks like they'd work on mountain bike trails. Maybe.STRAVA: Enabling dorks everywhere to get trails shut down........ all for the sake of a race on the internet.

No thanks. They can't convince me a 5 inch travel bike with a huge wheelbase is the ultimate trail bike. Sure it carves well but on sketchy gnar trails that require fast twitch handling I don't want big wheels.
That wheel wobble skid by AC was hardcore!

Don't worry, they will shrink by 1.5 inches by next year....

Are you familiar with the term 'full retard'
I've had a lot of fun in half retard but full bore is just not advised.STRAVA: Enabling dorks everywhere to get trails shut down........ all for the sake of a race on the internet.

The Niner crew in SLC seems to be steadily growing and a few pretty solid riders have been out shreading the local DH/FR stuff on the WFOs. Here's a little photo session they had posted up on FB last week. The road gap at the end of the set is pretty impressive.

I'll admit to wishing for wagon wheels a bit last night on the climb up to the Crest from PC, not so much on the Spine or on the ride back down to PC

I will have video posted of that session in the next week or 2. Toni could probably hit most of that stuff on a walmart bike and make it look smooth but that Niner is definitely a bike I'd like to demo long term.

No way dude, if a bike rolls off a drop it's obviously awesome at everything.

But there was dust in the air and the bike kicked up a dead tree branch! It must be awesome!

I can't believe I am the only one excited about this.
The anthem x 29 is one of the best xc fs bikes on the market....
The trance x is one of the best trail bikes on the market.....
What's wrong with the 5" 29er? Santa Cruz, kona, and niner have successful bikes in this category.
