    Strider bikin'

    No pedals, no problem!

PSA: This is rather boring unedited footage that I shot mostly for the enjoyment of my out-of-state parents, for whom the little guy's commentary is half the fun.

    next thing you know...

My daughter used the strider (she's 4 now) for a year and quite literally learned to ride a pedal bike on her own. I hollared "put your feet on the pedals" and she did and then took off.

    That strider bike is genius.

Pretty proud of the little guy. He loves to ride those trails.
Many times he begs to ride his bike. I take it pretty much everywhere we go.
Probably going to get a pedal bike for him in the fall and just see how it goes...

The other day he got pretty upset when he was "fixing" his bike and didn't have the "right" tool.

awesome! my little girl just left her strider for her pedal bike. We are lucky enough to live in a mountain bike-centric town (Durango) where the youth mountain bike program even has Strider group rides. There is nothing cooler than watching a crew of 2-4 year old's riding trails together. Now both of my kids ride singletrack a couple days a week. My 7.5 year old is effn' good.

That's awesome. There's enough UT mags with kids now they'll have their own little riding posse in no time.

This thread gets me excited to have kids, though not for a long time.
All I know is that I don't know nothin'... and that's fine.

i did not start my kids on a strider bike, but my oldest was pedaling before he was 3, little sam seems to be killing it and i am sure he'll adapt quickly to the pedals. My youngest is 3.5 and doesn't have the interest to ride anything but the trailer bike.

This boy seems to have no fear when it comes to stuff like this. Week by week he seems to get better and better on his bike!
    Proud parents for sure

Follow up vid for the win. Pretty fun to see the kid shredding the skinnies. And I don't like kids.
