3wt Reel/Line Recommendations?
I'm just about done building my new rod, but I don't have a reel yet. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good 3wt that isn't too pricey? I don't need anything fancy, but I also want it to last quite a while...I'm just not very up to date on fishing gear at all.

The redington drift is a nice light machined click reel at $99. I sell a lot of them and people seem very happy with them.

I have one of the Red Truck click reels on my 3wt, and have been very happy with it. It has to be the best reel for the money I have seen:

Currently, they are $59. If you want a little better reel, they have their Diesel model:

These are $199. Still a click drag, which I think is the most fun and best way to go on a 3wt rod.
For a line, I am running the Scientific Anglers Trout DT Taper Line. It is $70. It is a great small stream line in my opinion and easy to manipulate on small cast. I landed a 16" Rainbow with this setup on a 7 ft Scott fiberglass 3wt rod and the click drag was just fine."We had nice 3 days in your autonomous mountain realm last weekend." - Tom from Austria (the Rax ski guy)

It is cheap and seemingly well made. it will get its real trial on my trip to the missouri this fall, but so far so good. you would probably want the 2/3 i'm guessing.Day Man. Fighter of the Night Man. Champion of the Sun. Master of Karate and Friendship for Everyone.

I picked up Redington Classic Trout 3wt rod with the 2/3 drift reel last weekend. Going to take it on an over night backback trip this weekend and hunt brookies.
So Aenigma, how'd you like your set-up?
