    Lassen Snow Intel?

Anybody know how it will be this next week?
Like to hit it on the Fourth then head down Taylorsville for the rodeo, then Almanor for fireworks, then back to Taylorsville where the apres rodeo party usually turns into an absolute shitstorm.
We don't make the snow. We just make it more enjoyable.

I'm sure this won't be the case on the fourth but a buddy of mine went to hit it last week and, the mountain was closed. i shit you not. They were working on the trail which goes up the southeast side and they weren't even allowed to skin up the north side from the devastated area. WTF???

I believe it's open for a week or 10 days right now before it closes again. And yeah, serious WTF to close an entire mountain no matter which route you go.

I skied it on June 17th. Still served about 2300 vert of slushy super buttery corn. No refreeze. I think it might have been closed then but no one said anything not even the ranger I talked to afterwards in the parking lot. Skied the NE face. South looked to have more snow when ipeeked over which was weird.

Trying to ski it two weeks later? I'd say drive the extra hundred miles to Shasta, cause there won't be a lot left on lassen

I was supposed to get to Lassen this week too but family obligations ended up getting in the way. The mountain was "closed" for most of last summer too. There are other great lines not on the peak. Last time I was at Lassen, Pilot Pinnacle to Blue Lakes was fantastic.

Thanks, BRUTAH! Looks kinda typical for then, so the mountain must have gotten an almost average winter.
Pushing the trip off til after the 4th...hope some holds.
