Would also consider trade for something in the high 170 to low 180cm's, 105-115mm, rockered for my pops

Where are you located? Possibly into the Mo'ships. Afraid they might be too much ski for a lighter guy (165-170 lbs)

    bump for a nice ski

I'm 145 5'9" with all my ski gear on and ski the 185 moship no problems. I'm not an amazing skier or built, but this ski makes a perfect charger for me. If I were ever to make it out somewhere with huge, wide open steeps, I'd be tempted to try to find a pair of 195s. The early rise/rocker on the tip makes them ski like a 175 as long as you de-tune the tips and tails so they don't hook when hitting harder stuff.

Fun skis, rip hard, destroy chunder and can rip everything from icy hardpack to soft stuff.

What he said. Motheships are awesome. I'm a big guy and I am on the 195's as my daily driver. No quiver, just Motherships. Very durable too, Big Sky has ALOT of rocks.

Any thoughts on those P4s for a very tall 130-lb kid switching back to skis from snowboards, northern VT and ME resorts?

They look cool but my guess from a little web browsing is likely too stiff, and from my own personal experience likely too wide. But chewski I'd be interested in your take, and anyone else who has skied the P4s especially in shorter lengths?

Never skied them myself, but maybe a bit much for someone in the east who doesn't ski fulltime and probably isn't getting into it off trail much when on skis. Definitely not crazy unmanageable with the moderate flex and big twin in the shorter length
