Sorkin is like Mamet without the cool. Not that I don't appreciate some of Sorkin's writing, but Mamet does it more out of style than trying to show off how smart he is.

Agreed. I was referring to the live stuff. When she was interacting with Jon or other members of the best fucking fake news team on television, she was always about a beat too slow. It made it seem too scripted.
In this show, of course, they can take care of that in post.41 days 2012-13

Since The West Wing is one of my all time favorite TV show, I had great expectations for the Newsroom.
Meh. The Newsroom is just copycat. The same characters, the same writing, the same camera work. The exact same show.
But, everything that worked miraculously so well in TWW just falls flat here. It's pretentious, irrealistic and just boring.
I guess that what's happen when a news anchor takes himself so seriously he talks or (try) to act like he is the POTUS.
I mean, Pdt Bartlett debated wheter or not he was going to invade countries, or fine tuning his State Of The Union speech. He and his team were entitled to be dramatic and smug...
I'm very much in love with Olivia Munn though."Typically euro, french in particular, in my opinion. It's the same skiing or climbing there. They are completely unfazed by their own assholeness. Like it's normal." - srsosbso
