Quick TR: NH Bass
Took a quick trip up to NH last week and figured I'd throw up a few shots here.
This guy was pretty big, maybe 17 inches or so

His buddy was a little smaller

Some of the fish were even a little blurry

These guys hung around and watched me pull out a couple fish

All in all, not a bad day on the lake

Nice, thanks for the dose of New England lake stoke.
Now I'm a touch more pumped for my trip back to Maine in about a month. I'll be chucking streamers mostly, but it's the same good time with bass. And I'll just pretend I don't target the occasional sunfish too.

No need to target them really right? I've caught many 4 inch sunfish on big spinners and big minnows. Those things are like the honey badgers of fish. They fight like crazy too, the bigger ones always make me think I hooked a bass.

My favorite was the tiny sunny that hit the streamer next to the dock, followed by big papa (mama?) bass blasting out from under the dock and hammering the sunny. Didn't manage to keep 'em on the line for long though.
Pretty sure I've heard of this happening to other folks too.

Haha. When I was a kid my cousin and I would catch little perch off the dock with nightcrawlers and often have a bass snatch them once they were close to the dock. Biggest fish I ever caught in that lake was caught that way. 21 inches and over 3.5 pounds. Not bad for NH.
