http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com...adfd751fa.html
Always nice to get out with bumps and bruises. No judgement from me, would just like to hear some details. Hope no mags were involved......I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

a week ago, pomp peak was bullet proof. wet slides? i guess it probably snowed since then, with a nice icy layer to slide on? must have been a fun walk in, the rangers reclosed the gate at the creek after we got out. (at least they were supposed to.)
step off the A, bro.

Glad to hear you're making a recovery. Hope you get back to pre injury status.
Anything that wasn't in the article that you'd like to share? I'm always interested in hearing the first hand account. We've all made dumb moves / choices before, trick is to not make them again.

ya, pretty sobering getting spanked back to reality, eh? been there meself. interesting to hear how you said you probably laid that heelside in a little bit too hard maybe. i've definitely played the , "ski it light and hope yer right" (my quote
) sooooooo many times. especially with suspect slopes with some bridging over weak layers. "is it gonna be strong enough to hold little ole me? hope so here we go!"
there's so much to learn about snow and how it holds together and stacks up. just like bc skiing. gotta learn to ski so many different ways to suit what you know and may not know is under you. life long learning process. happy to hear you can and will continue this learning process.

@neufox- not really, i think the comments on the article sum up my position pretty well.
@icelantic- ..i think i recognize that username from the t4t forums, haha. and yes, getting spanked is the perfect analogy. it was a learning experience for sure. and im real glad im blessed to continue learning. could have been 50 times worse. my only feeling of remorse comes from the fact that my buddy got nailed pretty hard too. but like i said, im healin up and ready to get back on the old uniplank.. not until i enroll in a level one avy course tho.
