    FS: 2001 Polaris RMK 800 155" in SLC - $950

Just joined the National Guard, so I'm going to miss next winter and need to get rid of my sled. It's a 2001 Polaris RMK 800 155" track. In the fall I know I could sell it for around $2000, but I'd like to get rid of it now and this time of year sleds do not go for top dollar. I'll let it go to a mag who will get some use out of it for $950.

It has 600 miles on the rebuilt top and bottom end(cost $1500 alone, and needs to be done every ~2000 miles). Always used Polaris semi-synthetic blue oil, never the cheap stuff. These sleds came stock with a 144" track, but this one has the extended rails and tunnel extension to get it to 155". All motor and track work was done by Polaris dealer. I put 8" RSI pivoting bar risers with new steel braided throttle cable and brake lines on it this year($200). It has an SLP boost bottle to balance out reed valve pressure and give it more bottom end. The seat is in great condition for its age. I have the windshield with windshield bags if you want them, but found it just deflects pow into your face. Sway bars are removed(much easier to maneuver in deep snow). The sled is not perfect, but is a great bang for the buck. The key is broken off in the ignition and the 155" track has a few paddles missing. This sled is very reliable, starts right up and runs with the best of them. It always starts first or second pull and runs real strong. I love this sled and want it to go to someone that will get some real use out of it. I did a bunch of 100 mile round trips in the Uintas and a lot of both skiing and boondocking on this thing. Had to change a belt but that's it. I didn't ride it unless it snowed 6"+. I am in Salt Lake City and would deliver the sled for the price of fuel. PM me with questions and I can get you my phone number.

Holy shit I want this. I have absolutely NO idea what a sled costs normally, but just the thought of having one sounds amazing. And I would say this is pretty cheap too! The freedom and backcountry trips you can make with this thing. Hmmm!

How convenient I don't live in SLC. Sounds like a good deal.

Those bars look kinda funny without the shield. Understandable why you took it off though.

Good deal, none-the-less. Someone grab it.

Good luck with your Guard endeavors.

If it is still around the weekend of the 30th I would probably be able to drive down there and pick it up.

Nice price on that sled. I have an 04 RMK 159" that I have been too lazy to put up for sale. I put a 6 inch riser on mine too because they are unrideable turds with the stock low bars unless you are about four feet tall. The old style RMKs are great powder sleds for accessing the goods.
