the AM-45 look like the cleat placement is a little farter back than most; is that the case? I like that.

FYI, I found it pretty easy on my Lake shoes to cut out a bit of the sole rubber, allowing me to slide the cleat further back. That is probably doable on other shoes as well.

Ditto I snipped off a couple of the lugs to make more room and free up the float.There's nothing better than sliding down snow and flying through the air.
