Web browser for China that works on Macs
A young family member in just arrived in China - she can not access her foreign online banking service without using a 'special browser'. Having trouble finding that for a Mac.
Any suggestions

I'm guessing that it's not that she needs a browser specifically, more that the great firewall is blocking access to her bank.
You might want to look into the Tor Project or seeing if you can figure out a company that would allow her to use their VPN to punch through.
Last I heard Tor was working in China, but as the Chinese figure out the protocol even if you are using it for something like banking you still earn a spot on their shitlist, as they still can't figure out what you are using it for, just the fact that you are using it.
I believe they don't ding people for using corporate VPNs but do for commercial. Sometimes they apparently will just kill all VPNs due to one worry or another, but they will usually open it back up.
Though a lot of companies just treat any computer that visits China like it's hot and never let it touch their internal networks again. However working at a school that has nearly half it's student body Chinese we largely just keep the student body from even working like a normal network, and any p-p type of communication has to go out through the firewall and back in (so it doesn't really happen at all).
Now I feel dirty that I will be on another network for a couple weeks.
Hopefully someone else who has actually spent time in China will show up.
