    Moonrise Kingdom

Anyone know when it gets a wide release in the US? I can't find any dates or show times listed anywhere outside of NY and LA.

my google foo says June 29th. It opens at the Kabuki in SF tonight so there may be a posh $$ theatre in your neck of the woods with it soon.

edit: whats the over/under on the number of torrent cease/desists and lawsuits from this movie because of this very reason?

Nice! Looks like the only opening in Colorado is June 8, at the Mayan in Denver. Perfect excuse to hit up one of the dives on South Federal for Chinese or Vietnamese on the way. Thanks!

Saw it...its typical Wes Anderson style. If you like his movies, its right up your alley.

Just got back from seeing it.
Pretty decent, but I'll echo 666's uber brief commentary.

Not sure how to take all the BIG name actors that popped up in it, but they did a good job regardless of status (I kind of preferred Anderson's earlier work where he had lesser known actors and then only 1 or 2 really "BIG" names).

The one thing I totally dug about the film was the look. Lots of the sets felt manufactured, as if they were for a stage play and it gave parts of the film that Old School studio look with artificial locations, which was really cool.

Additionally, the whole vibe of the film was like a Norman Rockwell painting on LSD, kind of like Anderson and Co. stripped a NR painting to it's core and revealed the dark secrets lurking underneath the oil and canvas.

Finally, sweet ode to Tubular Bells at the very end.
