RIP Doc Watson: tough year for acoustic music

Or bluegrass, or whatever you want to call it. Doc's playing was clean, articulate, fast and impeccably tasteful. He was, along with Earl Scruggs, one of the bridges between the old school and the new school. Here's an example, Doc playing one of his signature tunes with The Dawg, David Grisman:

    OH NO!

That is really sad, he was one of my all time favorites.
    His flat-picking, voice, persona.

    Irreplaceable.

RIP Doc. say hi to Vassar for us.
