RockShox - recent warranty experience
How is RockShox with warranty issues on their forks?
I'm sending in a Tora 302 (U-turn coil, 85-130mm) from mini-Chup's bike; it's well within the 2-year warranty period, and I have the receipt paperwork. The fork has about 1" of travel, then comes to a complete hard stop. The lockout doesn't work either -- probably related.
Curious what RS's leniency is (i.e. are they likely to repair or replace this, or respond that it's wear & tear/damage), and if they're going to fix or replace it, what their turnaround time is like.

have you tried repairing / servicing it at the shop?
it is likely just the lockout cartridge, which they would almost assuredly only replace, since its about $50 retail.

Update: sent it back via retailer (Jenson); they sent it to Rock Shox, who sent them back a new fork: Sektor RL U-turn coming back.
That's one hell of a nice upgrade from the Tora 302.

I'll say. I've got a nearly useless Dart 1 in the garage, wonder what I'd get back in exchange. Boxxer world cup?!

Sram is pretty awesome about warranty. They just sent out a replacement Lyrik compression damper for me, took two days for them to get the part to the shop. Always helps to butter the shop guys up with beer, they don't make money off the deal unless they're doing the swap as well
