Songs so bad they are crimes against humanity
In discussing the demise of WFNX with a friend, I was led to the "no alternative" compilation. There's some really good stuff on there and then there's Soul Asylum, covering Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing". It turn out to be as bad in practice as it is in theory:
It's all terrible, but if you're masochistic enough to make it past the opening vocal... uh... calamity, the absolute low point occurs at ~4:02.We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

That wasnt that bad. I mean, it wasnt cowboy troy or anything, that man embodies a strong argument for a resurgence in lynchings, and I like most black people's music.

While ^^^ those are horrible, they don't hold a candle to "It's Raining Men."

A whole thread full of songs that will make you want to commit suicide when they are stuck in your head for days on end. Great.
"We built this City" pretty much owns the category as stated.

Come on, LMFAO doesn't belong here. The band is named LMFAO for God's sake--it's supposed to be funny.
My contribution would be "Believe" by Cher. I don't want to commit suicide when I hear it--I want to kill someone else.

kind of agree on LMFAO in that it doesn't seem intended to be taken seriously. i only know that song from that M&M commercial they've been playing during the NBA playoffs.
that "American Pie" is what I was going for in this thread, not just annoying (lots of things are annoying) but it's actually an extremely bad performance -- bad singing, bad production values, etc.We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

That song by 4 Non Blondes.
I know I'll catch hell for this, but anything by Guns & Roses. I cannot stand Axl Rose's voice. Just like the chick in 4 Non Blondes.

That one gets special points for opening with her dragging the flag all over the ground.
There are lots of 'musicians' that sound all right on the studio stuff because of vocal tuning (no not autotune, actually most singers voices are tuned electronically, its not super obvious like autotune but gives that souless overproduced sound common on pop/insert genre here records) but sound fucking horrible live.
There was a video of a live performance of britney spears with everything edited out except her voice, wow she cannot sing.
This thread would be more interesting if it was just horrible songs from bands that are actually good.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ________________
