there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board about SR. this sounds like the cops know or assume something more than besides what is being published. I know that in VT when folks with ties to a community go missing people keep on looking.

anybody care to comment? what the fuck is the deal with this story?

Welcome to Utah. Hardcore is probably chained to a wall in a basement somewhere in Salt Lake being forced to drink Draino while a bunch of freaks on acid are busy trying to see how many framing nails they can pump into his body before he dies. Meanwhile the folks who claim to care do nothing but post about it on the interwebz. The cops are too busy dealing with real crime, like busting house parties and hassling people who look non LDS.

Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on epicski or Paula's Ski Lovers, AltaNancy.

After living in SLC for 3 years I must say that it does get old, but that being said, its still by far not the shittiest state in the union.... Afterall, you could live in Texas BTW, how long has this guy been missing now, 2 weeks? Either he doesn't want to be found, or fell into an old mine somewhere up there....

I thought you ski bums only listened to jam band hippy shit? But since you call it a mosh pit I probably understand you're not intimately involved with the real scene.

I don't listen to pussy music like that. Specially none of those stupid jam bands.

I don’t personally know Hardcore, but I do have respect for his commitment to skiing. He is part of our ski community and it takes all kinds to make that community what it is. I feel like we should do what we can to try to find Hardcore. I tried calling the unified police department at 801-743-7000 to see what they could release to me about a missing persons case and they just connected to the jail before I could even say Corry Ehlers. Then the jail had no idea what I was talking about.

One of the comments below this article mentions that he may have taken the bus to Alta. I wonder if the cops and SAR know how or if he got to Alta.

Where are they looking and why? Some articles mention that his girlfriend said he went to Hellgate.
The article above says they looked in the Alta Ski Resort. This one below says that “searchers and 16 rescue dogs are going over the trails west of Alta.” Seems like trails west of Alta would be Snowbird. But hey what do I know.

Didn’t it snow around May 22? Was Hardcore’s ski shit left in his car down in the valley also? If you loved to ski Alta more than anything else in life and you knew Alta well, and it was May 22nd, and it snowed what would you do? Hmmmm…. hike to The Castle?...Main Chute?

Where is Hardcore? I wish him well.

Hardcore lives the dream, I respect him for that. I hope he shows up. Having said that, surprises like HC friends showing up last minute, leads to empties on the chairs behind him while people are re configuring. Surprises are no good on a powder day.

I skied the set up debris myself, with 10 inces of POW on top
