The Great Gatsby
Not quite sure what to think of this yet - some cool scenes in the trailer that came out yesterday, but there looks to be a lot of CGI rendering and an emphasis on action over storytelling. Plus it will be in 3D, which seems more unnecessary than usual here.

Pretty cool trailer, a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. I don't really get the need for 3D but what the heck.

If you loved Moulin Rouge and Strictly Ballroom, there's a good chance you'll enjoy The Great Gatsby - same director.
My general impression is that I'd rather get a beating.

If Kevin Costner isnt the worst actor on the planet, Toby Maquire is.

They already made this into a movie in '74 with Robert Redford, I remember watching it in English class after reading the book. I think it was pretty good.

Flop.
Hope it takes down the studio and puts the kiss of death on Luhrmann's career.

The trailer looks nothing like the book I remember reading in HS...
"Man, we killin' elephants in the back yard..."
