TR: Carson Pass Dusk Patrol, 5/15/12
dookey67 and I returned a week after our last dusk patrol mission to ski the other side of Carson Pass. This time we skied the ridge just east of the pass that is between Red Lake and Frog Lake.
dookey67 builds up speed for a possible huck into Red Lake:
Instead of splitting the uprights he turned to take my picture:
and after heading back...
...I did the same...
dookey67 starts another run:
I follow...
...then bootpack up for one more run while the sun fades...
...and the Lhasa Pows navigate the low light...
It felt good to ski some short steeps after work. Already thinking about where to do a dusk patrol next week.
