That would be me (living in girdwood.)
If you can't enjoy living on a glacier with amazing weather surrounded by peaks waiting to be skied you probably shouldn't call yourself a backcountry skier... (Even injured I had a great time!)
And yes I would agree there is a lot of good powder skiing to be done around here still:
May 15th powder skiing
Last week on Pastoral
We had to do a second lap.
The corn runs were the bonus laps on the way out.
