Raystown PA Dirtfest May 17-20
Anyone going? All my friends bailed, I'll be rolling solo but it would be cool to set up tents and ride with mags.
Edit: Online registration for camping is now closed, dammit! Can still pay $25 to reg and stay/camp elsewhere for free. I'll probably camp in Rothrock since I like the riding there better anyway.

Not to hi-jack, but if you can't make it, there's still a couple days to ride someone else's bike:

The place they're holding it in Delaware has some pretty cool trails and one of the main sponsers (Rob Garrison of Garrison's Cyclery) is a pretty cool dudes.

Wish I could go... I know about 20 dudes who will be occupying one of the bigger camp sites. They are the Philly Mtn Bike Assoc. If you see them, go say hi. Super friendly group. Tell them you know Lev. I'm sure they'll be partying late night in the beer tent.

Nice! Thanks for the tip Lev, too bad you can't make it.
mtnbiker please let me know if you have some extra space, I'd love to camp out for a night or two, probably just Saturday though. Is it even possible to drive in to the campsite where you are or is it heavily guarded? I hope I can pay the day fee to get in and find a small corner in your area.
Otherwise I'll be staying with friends who still live in State College and riding Rothrock more. If anyone wants to meet up and ride some rocks, I know those trails really well. I'll be there tomorrow evening and Fri all day if anyone wants to tag along before they head over to Dirtfest.
Night riding is in play too, I have two setups.
Weather should be perfect!

Man, I keep getting emails and pictures in my mailbox today from Ray's Town. The Philly crew is there and probably drunk already.
If you guys are looking for people to harass, go to campsite 61-62

Biker/Boarder: I do live in DE and there's some pretty nice trails in Brandywine Park....you're better off going up to Jim Thorpe or similiar, but for a one time trip, you can't go wrong.
UPDATE: The Salsa Demo was SOLID. The Spearfish is a solid bike with a nice build and good $$$. The Horsethief was SUPER FUN going down...like riding my sofa...BOINGBOINGBOING. Going up wasn't bad either. Used the The Mukluk to ROLL through muck and guck...awesome (if impractical for here); they had quite a few other models i didn't get to check out. Lots of bikes to ride for the price of signing a waiver and showing your ID.
The Salsa guys were packing up their stuff heading directly for Dirtfest. If you're out there: look 'em. Super cool dudes...super cool bikes.

I really wish I had made plans ahead of time to get down to this, it sounds like a great time. Some interesting sounding skills clinics for the ladies, too.

Buddies are up there as well and i did get a phone call about 11 with some slurring of words....firewood is all i got....
Donkey will check with my boys to see about space but not sure how much is left... apparently we had a few more jump in on the weekend....either way lets hook up and ride or at the very least have a beer and safety meeting......
Will look for the salsa dudes for sure..wouldnt mind trying out a 29er but then it makes you want one and that costs $$$$$...
Smarty.. jim thorpe is great riding for sure but spend more time there on my KTM then a mtnbike....usually ride high rocks above doylestown or wissy down in phila...
Anybody up for a sat mini at a site close for all.. do some riding and then beers in the future...always forward but never straight

Yea no worries, it was a great weekend. Demoing lots of bikes was fun. I really dig the Pivot Mach 57, wow what a magic carpet ride. Especially after trying a 29er, the Pivot fit like a glove.
I ended up staying at another campground at Seven Points, it worked out pretty well for little-to-no planning. And free beer was a nice surprise. Did I mention the weather? : )

Hoping to be as well. Just gotta make sure I'm not working. There's usually a big Philly crew in attendance.

DC will be rolling deep too. Though I will be the steady hand at the helm of the rented houseboat rather than sleeping in the MORE camp.

I'm coming up Friday morning. I will be piloting a houseboat flying a Grateful Dead flag. We have a happy little crew, including a good photographer and some goofy dogs. I'm unsure which bikes we'll be bringing. But the boat and dogs will be hard to miss. Holler at us.
I'll keep an eye out for the Yelli Screamy, MrDirt.
