Solid on medium, or are you after potentially a small Demo 8? Would give you a KILLER deal on an old, well used, but decent bike.

If you are on the taller side of a medium frame, take a look at the L Trek Session 8 for sale in this forum. It's a killer bike and seems like a great price. I ride a large of most DH bikes I've sat on, but the Trek is pretty darn short/small... probably between most other brand's M and L sizes. Example: I would ride an XL in this frame. Just an option, I don't know how tall you are.

I'm in the market too for something for a teenager. Low budget freeride set up. Needs to be complete. Would be nice to know price points for the bikes mentioned. OP, you obviously have first dibs on whatever shows up here.

Bought it here last fall, alas I no longer live where there is any DH.

fox 40 (2008 i think). both CCDB and the fox have ti springs, also has i9 hubs on 823 rims.

Was thinking like $1800.
