FS: Decked Out Demo 7
SOLD!!!
I put this bike up for sale last year and though I had some interest no deal ever closed. It's boxed and ready for shipment. I paid $3700 w/ shipping last year, so I'm thinking $3200 including shipping to the lower 48, perhaps a bit more depending on shipping charges to anywhere else. I've copied the former ad below as nothing's really changed. This is a $ sale only as I'm not interested in any trades. Thanks!
Also, I'm willing to part out the bike for the right offer(s). Make 'em!
_________________________________________
I just bought this bike from Hollywood a few months ago. Having lived in Mammoth Lakes I didn't even build it yet and so it's still in a box ready to be shipped.
I am selling now because I will not reside in Mammoth or Tahoe as previously planned, but mainly because my carbon road bike frame was destroyed yesterday and will not be covered by any insurance. I would rather have a roadie and trail bike than a trail bike and DH/FR bike, so I am putting up this very pimpy Demo 7 for sale with much regret...
I am copying and pasting Hollywood's original Spec below, with a couple updates. It has new Saint Cranks, Easton VOC Stem, and a brand new, never used Fox Vanilla 180 FIT RC2 with a tapered 1.5" steerer. Attached pics all reflect the bike as currently constituted. The Oakley stickers were removed by Hollywood before he shipped it to me.
The bike is in Great Condition as Hollywood didn't ride it much and I've never ridden it...

Decked out Demo 7 - Maybe For Sale
The whole bike has been upgraded. Here is the Spec:
2008 Specialized Demo 7 1, Size Medium
Fox Vanilla 180 FIT RC2 (2011)
Chris King 1.5 Headset Anodized Blue (2009)
Chris King Front and Rear Hubs Anodized Blue (2009)
Mavic 823 Rims Tubeless (2009)
Shimano Saint Brakes (2009)
Shimano Saint Shifter and Rear Derailleur (2009)
Easton VOC Stem
Thomson Seatpost (2009)
WTB Saddle
Saint Cranks
Gamut Chain Guide
Maxxis Ardent 2.6 Tires F+R
(2009) denotes when the upgrades were done. I only rode this bike 4 times this year. I just rode more trail and xc this year.
Bike is in exceptional condition.

I would have loved to keep this bike, but want to see it go to a good home. Pics below

PM sent to kidwoo re: fork, and Lev re: wheels. I'm willing to part out the bike if I can get enough interest to justify breaking it up. Let me know what you want!

Replied with PM Lev. Right now I'd like more sales in the works before committing to breaking up the bike. Wheels to Lev if that happens. Fork, frame, brakes, drivetrain, etc... on the blocks! Or the whole shebang!
