    Anyone using the Canon D20

Wondering mostly how the shutter lag is?

I have the Pentax Optio W30 which has been an OK little P&S camera but the shutter lag is so bad that I miss the shot I want more often than not. Burst mode seems the only way around this and still does not always give the desired results.

Then there is the D10 which seems like the same thing only folks have had them leak water and get ruined.

    Thanks

It's been out for 10 days. I doubt many people here have had a good opportunity to run them through the paces. If it is anything like the D10 I would say to stay the fuck away. I have it. Bad shutter lag, the images are subpar for the money, even for P&S. Mine never leaked water though.

At least the D20 looks less bulky than the D10. Mine is a tank. I'd be better off with a G10 or something with a water housing.

Had no idea it had only been out that short of time. Sounds like it probably has the same bad shutter lag.

You press the button, the screen tuns off, you hear a slow click-click and there's your image. Coming from using a DSLR with a high fps burst it completely blew my mind how much I had to anticipate where something moving slowly was going to be.
