The Head and The Heart
For my tastes, I'm pretty sure their entire album is the most pleasant thing I've ever listened to.

I was recently turned on to them as well, can't wait to see them at the Newport Folk Festival this summer!

Saw them open for Florence + The Machine and like them better live than Florence.

Used to play down at my brother-in-law's bar. Good stuff. Now we just need to get them back there.

What bar is that? PM me if you don't want to share publicly. Looking for good spots for live music besides The Tractor Tavern and The Crocodile.

That's KEXP's soundstage.
You've probably heard of these but Neumos and the bar attached are good for smaller live bands though bigger than the Tractor. Showbox SODO also has a nice bar. The Vera Project is even smaller than the Tractor. Chop Suey and Studio Seven also have shows but you won't find them hosting the likes of The Head and the Heart.Last edited by belgian; 05-08-2012 at 08:23 PM.
I thought their offices would be strewn with bunny-fucking and condom dispensers, a veritable enchanted forest of cock shafts and twat mist. - JoeStrummer

Cheers dude. Just getting into the music scene out here after being in college in NY for the past 4 years so all suggestions are appreciated.

Neumos looks excellent. A quick google search didn't yield any useful info on KEXP's soundstage."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

By brother-in-law owns Conor Bryne's near Tractor. PM me if you are popping in and I will join you.
Neumos scores some amazing shows despite its size. Belgian nailed a bunch of them. Frankly, just grab a Stranger and poke around. You will easily find everything you need there.Nodafinga!

You'll want to find a willing stranger before you start poking around.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Yeah, but I don't know any strangers.

But seriously, cheers commonlaw. I'll shoot you a PM and let you know when I plan to stop by. Be cool to put a face to a name.Last edited by auvgeek; 05-09-2012 at 10:28 AM.
