Mike Lish says, FUCK YOU TGR "heard" (sic)

    Current ramblings from his site

"My first skis were rudimentary.'[circa 2009]' I had to figure out how to design and build skis in a trailer with no budget.

I wasted time on TGR, then realized I was in no position to deal with people who act in a heard. Ended up getting hundreds of orders from one person following the next, then in mutual disgust, I cancelled their orders. It turns out, less than 5 percent of our client base spends time on social ski sites. So after my initial foray and literal pissing off of so many that do, some are still driven to post criticism when they have an audience.

Lesson learned: I acted arrogantly, was misleading, and was angry with people I perceived to be mediocre. I’ve taken a deep breath and learned to be more understanding, more upfront. It’s also been nice recognizing the root cause of my anger. Outcome, I’m a better father, learning to be a better husband, and piss way fewer people off."

Chew on this cud Mr. pathological nutsack, FUCK YOU

Is this the gansta wanker that shoots out road signs in the hood and drifts the Lesboru with the sled trailer on the back? I'm thinking it's that guy.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

I see a surprisingly large amount of these at Mammoth still. I also saw a pair in Footloose in Mammoth that had just been tuned. Struck up a conversation with the tech and he said they were far and away the worst skis he'd ever seen in his life.

That was my first reaction, then I remembered the 333 skis drama from a couple years back. Different douche.

Man did I luck out. In 2009 I was about to order a pair of 333's, but he wasn't taking orders for rockered skis. Opted for a pair of ON3P Billy Goats, which have been awesome!

Wow, we haven't beaten that horse in a while. Don't crash hard on your 333skis. They'll end up with extra rocker.

I am guessing you are no longer a fan? For awhile there you were VERY Proud to have given those sticks to the kid.

So is 333 CRAP forever? Or to we leave a little room for the possibility that he might be learning and improving from year to year.

We all met they guy! Toured his little trailer.
    I thought he was cool.

I knew his product was not for me. I could tell by looking that I would have destroyed the skis the first time I pushed.

But for some? Ehh kinda cool.

No MTT, they weren't total turds (teards?). They lasted about a season and a half for my son. But he didn't crash them too hard, and it was into really deep powder, and they still broke. Both of them. In the same spot (right near the tip at the point were the wood gets the thinnest).

At the time I had Lish build those skis, there were no short, rockered, fat skis for ripping kids. I spec'd a ski that was around 105 underfoot, 169 long and had a rockered tip with some small camber underfoot. The ski worked fine for him for the time he had them.

My son is now on a ski of similar dimensions, albeit longer. He's rocking the Praxis BC. The skis are totally bomber, look great, and I sincerely doubt he could break them on the same fall as broke the 333's.

I can't really complain - and didn't complain to 333. I paid $250 for those skis delivered to my door - remember he was offering a 222 option at the outset if you didn't want the topsheet nor warranty. We got a good ski that lasted just over a season (maybe 20-25 days) in a shape/size that wasn't otherwise available from any mfg at the time.

Lish is a character. He definitely rubbed people here the wrong way, but if you met him in a coffee shop or bar, you'd find him fun and entertaining to talk with. There are some way kookier maggots around than him. I'm hoping to get down to Mammoth sometime soon and look forward to running into him - he wasn't around last spring when I was down there.

And my son has a cool wall-hanging for his dorm room or future garage/basement/home.

That sounds about right. For many people who ski @ Mammoth having his skis makes sence? To me anyway.

I just get a bit pissed when I see an agressive multi year effort to wreck someone who I belive has good intentions.

I do not really know? but it seems kinda (Over the Top)

And going along on the Local manufacture track.

I will not buy big box skis!!! I love PM GEAR. ON3P Praxis and others.

My favorite is (HANDS DOWN) PM GEAR/ I really like the way they feel and perform (FOR ME)

But owning PM Gear is not all Rainbows and Unicorns.

    There are issues

    But they ski SOOOO SWEEET

So we overlook the ZITS (Right)?

Anyway David Lish and 333. He is a man trying to feed is family and thrive on the East Slope.

A worthy goal/ Maybe we should be a little more balanced on the Commentary?

I am tempted to Ski his shit and post it on the WEB for A BOOST, if for no other reason than to offset the Fucked up spew generated from this site.

I recall him initially taking orders on the sales pitch of a pair of skis built in 3hrs for $333. His story changed more often than the parking space for his trailer.

What issues have you had with PM Gear skis? Mine have been flawless, and I abuse the shit out of them.

    Lish = Polonius

TJ Burpe = Ahab hunting Polonius instead of Moby Dick.

There is something honorable in the foolish, tragic audacity of hunting the white whale. Hunting Polonius is just pathetic.
