tele mount advise - LIne Pandora 152

scored Krystal Kartwright some new Line Pandora 152cm at Porter's in Truckee today - 1 pair left at $389 (162cm I think) - best price we saw on the intertoob was $454 - she's adding these to her current 1 ski quiver of K2 Gotback

she's got tiny boots (23) - should I just mount them boot center at ski center? - "pins" on cc? - what say you?

binding will likely be 22 Designs Axl
    sorry

I've been mounting all my tele bindings at boot center over mark. I think it works great.

^^^ What he said. For modern boots / bindings forget all the tele mount mumbo jumbo. I have recently gone and remounted all my old skis at the alpine mark and they all ski as good or better than my old voodoo tele positions.

I agree with what's been said already.

As if it wasn't confusing enough already, throw twin tips and rocker into the mix and it starts to seem like a real crap shoot. I've been studying up on this topic a lot lately and there seems to be consensus building that boot center at alpine boot center or maybe a couple cm back from there works for modern skis. It might make you feel better to figure out some of the ball of foot / core center / center of running surface voodoo marks just to see how these all compare. Might give you a little more confidence or encourage you to fine tune your mount point a bit.

I plan to use B&D shift plates on my next mount so I can experiment for myself. There's no standard that you'll get 100% of tele skiers to agree on.

Most of the twin-tips I have mounted with Hammerheads, I went with pinline at chord center +2cm. I measure chord center running straight line from tip to tail on the top of the ski. It usually put me about 2-4cm behind boot center on alpine center in most cases.

One nice thing about using NTN - I mount them just like I would an alpine binding, so it takes a little of the voodoo out of the mix.

Another opinion for boot center, I have two hammerheads mounted there.

    thanks y'all

I've always mounted her skis pins on chord center. She's always been happy.

I've usually gone pins on chord center +2cm - I have a much bigger foot than her (29). When I mounted my "new" Wateas this season I fooled around with different techniques and measurements, and I ended up in just about the same spot. Seem fine to me.

Thanks for the opinions. Always good to get a few opinions.
    sorry

OK, so... Line recommends putting alpine mounts at boot center 52mm back from chord center for a 152cm Pandora.

I called them and was given the same advice for tele, so I'm going with it. I can always move them.
    sorry

Word. Hope there's some snow by you so you can try 'em out. I always get all my new gear when the season ends, then stare at it for months. It's depressing.
