Thumbs up quick link my hero

Trying to get a ride in before the next rain storm, grab my gear after work and go. Get to the parking lot and mount up. Ride about 2 miles and bang! Blew a link in my chain. Walk/coast back to the truck and get out my travel tool bag, dig in and find my last quick link.

YES! Punch out the broken link, fit in the QL and reroute the chain. Lucky for me a Sram QL will work in a HG chain both being 9 speed.

    Ride saved!

Have to stop by the LBS and pick up another 6 pack and redistribute them though my various packs for on trail use.

Love SRAM chains mostly for this reason alone although they do treat me well otherwise.
There's nothing better than sliding down snow and flying through the air.
