Going crazy waiting for Amazon to ship my new Olympus OMD
I am so stoked for the new Olympus OMD EM-5.
This looks like the perfect upgrade to my PEN E-P2 that I'm currently using (and like a lot.)
So far, from the reviews, videos and images I've seen, the image quality looks great, video is stunning, image stabilization and auto-focus are terrific, and the camera still manages to stay very small and compact.
If Amazon doesn't ship mine soon, I swear I'm going to have an aneurysm.

Probably has to do with the huge amount less money they made a couple quarters ago. Now profits are back up and I'd bet they really trimmed some fat in alot of places.
Any way you have access to a .edu email address? Sign up for a free year of Prime and $39 prime/year after that. Most of my stuff comes to MT next day with the 2-day option.
The OM-D looks like an awesome camera and is one of the first, "mature", MFT cameras IMO.

B&H had it in stock today. I ordered it before they sold out.
Should have it in hand next week. I'm already invested in m4/3 lenses, and I really liked the old OM film cameras, so it was an easy decision for me.

Kai from DigitalRev's review doesn't make me too excited about it...

Yes, Kai adds entertainment value so your typical camera review isn't boring. But 95% of what I have watched when it comes to opinions on cameras has been 100% accurate.
And that age comment is just ridiculous. I know a 17 year old kid who shoots nothing but film, mostly medium format and every single camera he owns came out long before he was born.

In his OMD review, he said that the OMD sensor is the same as the Panasonic sensor in one of the Panasonic m4/3 cameras. This is not the case. The OMD sensor is new, not shared by any current Panasonic camera. (I guess that's the inaccurate 5%) In spite of the fact that some 17 year olds are into retro cameras, I still would be very surprised if Kai has shot even 1 roll of film with any Olympus OM SLR.

accoring to DPreview:
http://www.dpreview.com/previews/olympusem5The camera is built around a 16MP Four Thirds sensor, almost certainly the same one seen in Panasonic's DMC-G3.
That's what I keep hearing. Maybe you have some proof it isn't but it has been talked about a lot on many sites. So maybe he is parroting what he heard on that tiny slip from a reputable site. Such a travesty, he obviously knows shit!!!
I guarantee he has had more cameras go through his hands and run them through their paces than the majority of the population. I take his word over most things than I would the average TGR mag.

And in case that was offensive, here is a review that compares it to the nex-7 and x-pro.
