with all due respect, falling is not charging. shoulda edit'd out the flail/fail at the end. lost it in the crud? yurp skiers should be well versed in crud/variable conditions. just sayin, armchair qb and all.

As I understand it Bobby only has 2 gears:
Fuckin Mental &
Pissing Blood
as someone whose only entry into that couloir - by a boot scramble over rocks at low tide, was immediately followed by a slide sans skis and arrest on someone else's legs I'm in no position to criticise.

most good seasoned skiers should always expect the unexpected and have the forethought and skillz to handle whatever comes next.
obviously he was skiing too fast to suit the terrain, conditions, and or his ability level of such. or he wouldn't have fallen.
proof is in da pudding, bro.

I somehow think that Bobby posted this for our amusement rather than to spray about his skillz

This. Thanks, Arno!
The point of the post wasn't to show me skiing the couloir well. There's loads of good videos on TGR of people ripping stuff (as I said in the original post). The point was the crash! I could go back up there and ski like that 20 times and not crash, but where's the fun in that?Last edited by vertigo; 04-25-2012 at 01:59 PM.

Entertaining!
Fyi, anyone negatively armchairing POV footage provided for your entertainment is likely a huge claimer, shitty skier, and a douchebag on top of it all. You know who you are.

That's the terrain I dream about! Glad you are ok. I like to see you slayin it on RC's as well, mine are yearning to shred the Alps.

Skiing below your ability given the conditions takes the fun out of the sport

Vertigo, did your sluff throw you into that rock, or did you just run out of room? Couldn't quite tell from the video. Either way, glad you didn't get hurt.

Is Rog a troll ala alpine zone style? That's all that makes sense.

Part of the slope had avalanched, and I hit debris, and frozen bed surface. I should have just pointed from there, but tried to keep turning, and on my last turn, just before I crashed I hit something and ended up in the air, at which point I knew I was about to run out of room. I remember thinking I needed to get my body in the snow to try and lose speed.
I agree completely!

Anybody else watch this with headphones on? Start at about 0:50 and tell me it you can also hear the throbbing in the background - like a fast heartbeat, it's freaking me out.
Nice POV, tough. Look like a hairy couple of seconds. Glad you're OK.

It's lucky you were wearing a GoPro - otherwise that could have really hurt.
Have to admit, I don't tend to let 'em slide like that once in T1; quite ballsy at the top. Nice skiing until the obvious.

I liked the narration during the skiing: whoa........ Whoa..... Whoa!..... WHOA!
& not a word of Spanish. :fm"Those 1%ers are not an avaricious "them" but in reality the most entrepreneurial of "us". If we had more of them and fewer grandstanding politicians, we would all be better off."

To be fair the Brummie accent is fairly exotic and easily confused with Iberian cadences

That was pretty sweet there. Is it just the camera angle, or is that not that steep?
lol, that's another reason we wear helmets! No longer stuck.
