Hey mangs/maggs... ya'll might've heard about Radar Speed Trap Day before last. Stroup Skier reached 80MPH! Yes, it was very gratifying to finally document 80, since we've known for years it could be done.

This year, on April 28th, who wants to come out and get clocked. You'll find it doesn't take much to surpass highway speeds wearing a couple of waxed sticks.

If you've been out with us before, you know the deal: It doesn't matter what the forecast says, it doesn't matter if you stay up too late the night before and you beg for a reschedule, it doesn't matter if it's fog, ice, snow, rain, hail, a tornado, or scorching hot. The way an event like this keeps rolling year after year is just doing it and having a blast.

I'll see any, or all, ya'll this Saturday, April 28th, 2012. We'll meet on the bird tram plaza, with assemblage between 8:30 and first tram. Speeds vary greatly, depending on snow and air temps. Sometimes top speeds can only be achieved for a couple of runs before the window of opportunity closes for the whole day.

Remember: if you've never done this before, doctors say it's good for the parasympathetic system to occasionally scare the piss out of the cardiovascular system--keeps things running smoother.

Oh, and if you soil your Depends, no one's gonna notice or care... There are no egos or attitudes. It's just a bunch of us ski-tards gettin the ya-ya's out.

P.S. It would be helpful to post in this thread whether you'll be going so we can keep an eye out for you's.
