What if we all stopped paying taxes?
Everyone being a large majority of those that pay fed taxes, red or blue. How would that play itself out?
Silent....but shredly.

The whole thing would shit the bed, the first second the fed can't get tax $$ nobody is lending them shit and its lights out.
The government's power is an illusion insofar as it relates the population as a whole, provided of course that said population can get of its collective ass to do anything. You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Seems sort of difficult to pull off.

You mean what if everybody who was responsible and actually contributed to this society decided to stop being played for suckers?
That premise sounds hauntingly familiar for some reason...

DBT would implode resulting in a massive black hole from which not even spelling mistakes and thick irony could escape.

Agreed that the dog ate my tax returns just won't work.
Could be Moeghoul means what if we all became mogul hedge fund managers and venture capitalists? That way just like Romney and me everyone's tax receipts will show income: $25-to-$60 million... taxes paid: $700.00 after freedom exemptions.

I was thinking more about the gov't response and enforcement. Would they freak and institute more draconian enforcement methods skipping past notice and simply liening and seizing assets? Suspend judicial review? Start arresting people in alphabetical order (Zimmerman would be a good name to have under those circumstances)? Would the drain from the treasury drain IRS resources quickly enough and sufficiently to stem enforcement?
Silent....but shredly.

I've always wondered about that it the context of the SS money. It ran a 2trillion dollar surplus which we then promptly borrowed from the social security trust fund, it is the single largest portion of the national debt. If we upped the age to say 70 an no longer needed the two trillion could the SSA essentially forgive the debt ?
I've tried really hard to find this out and so far no answer, we do pay interest at least theoretically but it also may all be returned to the treasury at the end of the year, I think the real problem is if we don't at least keep up appearances everyone will figure out its all funny money.

[QUOTE=Downbound Train;3620979]Yes dolt. I knew that. I lived with one of them - before she died.
But maybe instead of upping the age to 70 we should get back to what SS was supposed to be in the first place. I see a picture of a room full of young people who probably never paid in shit.QUOTE]
Strawman and ingorant assumption, partisan hack politics are killing this country.
One needs to be filthy fucking rich to be able to not pay taxes, just go and get yourself rich!

I would like to know if cashing business checks out of my personal account (so they don't show up on my statement) , is a good way to evade taxes?
